Due to the inclement weather and the low water levels at The James B. Harrison Foundation, the December 6th Inshore Tournament will be held at Long Acres Ranch. They have been kind enough to open the gates for us, again. This is a barbless tournament. Lines in at 8am, Lines out at 10:30am with blind period beginning at 10:10am. Blind Squirrel Baits is a locally owned store in Conroe, Texas. They have generously donated some product for our Offshore team to test out. They have soft and hard plastic baits and also customize baits to what the customer wants. Check them out and help support locally owned business.

Well, Lake Limestone 2025 is in the books. What a wonderful day for fishing too. The weather was great and we had a lot of fish caught. There were 113 boats competing in this tournament. There were some big bags caught and some big fish too. We had six teams of nine catch fish for TWHSBFT, this did not include CP. THSBA gave the top 16 teams, prizes and scholarships. We had 2 teams in the top 16, Robert Phelps*/Sanders Pyle and Sawyer Molloy/Keon Uresti. RP*/SP weighed in 5 fish for 16.67 lbs with a big fish of 4.76 lbs. SM/KU weighed in 5 fish for 10.54 lbs with no big fish weighed.
This was my first experience with renting a boat to fish. We used our BBR sponsor to rent the boat. If you rent a boat, please, before you accept delivery, do an equipment check, safety check registration check and insurance check. This is something that we thought would not be an issue but things got missed. We got everything taken care of in the nick of time. I say this because if the angler team places “above the money line”, boat checks are done as well as polygraph for the boat captain. Missing or non-functional equipment could result in DQ. Don’t let this happen to you. Lots of times people overlook the fire extinguisher. These things can go bad at random or for whatever reason-insert shoulder shrug here.
Being in the top 5, for this angler dad, was an exciting experience.
I would like everyone to remember that this is TEAM effort here in so many ways. Whether it’s the two anglers on the boat or all of the anglers in the club. Anglers are competing for prizes and scholarships. But don’t lose sight of the fact that all of the fish caught for the club get totaled up for the school placement in THSBA. The more anglers we have fishing the better. If anyone needs help with tutoring/grades please reach out to the team captains for assistance. Let’s do everything that we can to keep as many of our TEAM members as possible, on the water. Let’s all be good TEAM members.
Our TEAM results are posted in the Offshore portion and photos are in the gallery. If you have photos that need to or want to have added for this tournament, let us know.
I would like to take a moment to thank Melissa Hanley for getting the equipment to and from the weigh-in. Also, for picking up the food for these hungry anglers.
If there are any issues/questions/comments, please feel free to reach out.
Until Lake Houston, November 8, 2025

Beckendorff Farms Inshore Tournament
Well, everyone, it was a pretty successful tournament. At least the rain held off until it was over. I want to thank all the volunteers that helped weigh fish today. I apologize for the great App Issue of 2025. This has never happened before, that I know of. I promise tournament #2 should not have these issues. Also, I have repaired the two extra scales that we were missing today.
Thank You:
Thank you to all the ladies that helped Kendra out at the tent with the check-ins, merchandise, and team wears:
Thank you Mrs. Bailey for bringing the snacks and coolers.
Thank you Mrs. Dupree and Mrs. Fishback for helping at the merchandise table.
Thank you Mrs. Mrs. Harris for helping with check-ins.
Extra:
No one has done this in the past, so I am going to address it. We had some issues today with some anglers being a little obnoxious and a bit rude to some parents and staff. Let's try to treat others with respect. I know kids will be kids but these are not the venues for that type of behavior.
ON TO FISHING:
As some of you know, we had 101 fish caught for a total weight of 82.246 lbs. I will be going over the sheets to triple check the numbers.
Photos:
If you have any photos that you took and wish to share, please send them.
Please email us with any questions/comments/concerns.
Until next time,
Robert
