End of Year Awards and Banquet 2022-23
The Woodland High School Bass Fishing Team End of Year Banquet took place on
Tuesday, April 25th at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria at The Woodlands High School 9th grade campus.
All anglers, their family and friends were invited to attend. Several of our sponsors attended also.
At the banquet we celebrated another successful year of high school fishing! Many awards were given out for both the Inshore and Offshore teams. Seniors were recognized and new captains for 2023-24 were announced.

TWHS Offshore Team Highlights:
We knew with 12 seniors graduating last year this was going to be a rebuilding year but the team hung in there and we did manage a few noteworthy accomplishments!
The Offshore team fished in 5 regular season tournaments. Contending with challenging weather conditions at all the tournaments. Wind, Cold, Rain and did I say Wind.
TWHS Offshore Team place 5th for “team of the year” in the Bayou Division out of 24 teams
We had 7 top 20 finishes
2 top 10 finishes
Ty Collura & Aidan Martinez Placed 2nd at Lake Somerville
7 of 11 Teams qualified to advance to the Regional Tournament at Lake Conroe
2 of 7 Teams qualified to advance to the State Tournament in May at Sam Rayburn
Ty Collura & Aidan Martinez placed 18th in the State Tournament
Ty Collura & Aidan Martinez placed 7th in THSBA AOY standings for the year
Aidan Casey won Big Bass at Lake Limestone with a 6.78 lbs. bass
